Welcome to Primary Phase Music

Our music curriculum is delivered through Charanga and focuses on developing the skills, knowledge and understanding to enable children to become confident listeners, composers and performers. This is achieved through our four vertical concepts: Listen and Appraise; Read and Record; Compose; and Perform. Our vertical concepts are built upon unit-to-unit as well as year-on-year. All musical activities within our music curriculum are based around a song and help to develop pupils’ musical skills in a fun and engaging way.
