In February and late March, Year 5 went on two Forest School trips to 'The Hive' in Bolton.

Over the course of their two visits, the students braved the elements to develop fire building skills, build dens, learn about knot tying, complete various scavenge hunts and create artwork using natural resources. Alongside this, the students developed their teamwork, resilience and communication skills, as many of the activities required them to work in small teams.

The second trip in March also provided a great stimulus to the spring poems that the students were writing in English.
